I have a soft spot for sci-fi. I really enjoyed reading the classics from Clarke, Bradbury or Asimov as much as K. Dick or U. Le Guin. Its fascinating to witness the shift of paradigm our civilization experience, as our systems start to see their limits and as the AI become smarter and smarter. Truly Sci-fi give us a plausible view of how we will shape, or be shaped, by our future.
It’s interesting to look at how those universes have been expanded into the pop culture. Like Roadside Picnic from A. and B. Strougastki have come to a mythic video game series in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (which was previously adapted into a movie under the same title).
